Each person finds a different meaning behind the exact same realtor slogan used to describe the apparent only factor in finding a place to live, that of ‘location, location, location.’ If what is important to you is a view however, then living in a heavily forested area may not fly at all, despite the realtor’s interpretation that there is a view of the trees. You’ve got to know what’s important to you when you’re considering picking up and moving to a new locale, because most people don’t have your best interests in mind, they’ve got their own best interests in mind.
Before you move, it’s wise to take some time to sit down and write out a list of attributes that you believe would make for an ideal living environment. If you’ve got kids, then proximity to schools, or even daycare, could be a much larger concern. If you’re single and free of encumbrances, your interests probably revolve around being near the best nightlife spots, where you can have some good times and maybe meet fun people to date. If you’re eco-conscious and want to either sell your car or keep it but primarily use public transportation and your bike, then it’s important to be near to the necessary amenities, such as the grocery store, your job, friends, and whatever entertainments you prefer.
Moving to Los Angeles apartments can be amazing, because you’re in the heart of Hollywood style life and living. But if that’s not the life you’re seeking, you’re not doing yourself any favors by moving to an area that’s glamorous, just because it seems like a cool thing to do. So make sure your preferences make it onto the written list. From there, it’s easy to whittle out the less important things to then focus on those that merit extra attention. Like whether Lindsay Lohan is going to be your neighbor!
